This concealed Carry Training Course is for residents of the State of Ohio who wish to apply for a Concealed Carry License (CHL).  Successful completion of the Basic Pistol Class & instruction by the Ohio Peace Officer’s Training Academy Instructor listed above, will provide you with the competency as described in 2923.125 (G)(1)(A), (B), and (G)(2) of the Ohio Revised Code, and the certificate required for an Ohio Resident to obtain their Concealed Handgun License in Ohio.

  • Handguns Components and Function, Ammunition Basics

  • Written Test Review & Test

  • Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting Techniques

  • Cleaning, Maintenance, Proper Storage of your Pistol

  • Selecting Pistols, Ammunition and Accessories

  • Legal Aspects of Concealed Carry

  • Street Weapons Overview: Tasers, Pepper Spray, Edged Weapons, Batons 

  • Advanced Laser Simulation Weapons in Class

  • Live Range Firing, Range Safety, Marksmanship Fundamentals

 

Additional Details: Cost: $150.00.  $20.00 deposit is due at the time of registration. 

The balance is due the day of the class.

 

Firearms and Ammo will be provided for this class.

 

All course study materials are included.

A Hot Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

All class attendees will be required to sign a liability waiver.
